Abys in Need – Found Abyssinian in Alexandria, VA

I got this from the Aby Rescue mailing list…

VArescueAby1

I rescued an Abyssinian in Alexandria, VA. I spotted him at a shopping center, and, fortunately, I was able to rescue him. My vet estimates that he is 1-1.5 years old, and he was already neutered. He tested FEL/FIV negative and parasite-free, and my vet vaccinated him.

No one has stepped forth to claim him. He is a very sweet, affectionate cat who loves humans, but he hates other cats. He needs to be an “only” pet. Can you be of assistance in finding him a new home?

Isn’t he adorable? He reminds me a lot of Angel. If you know of someone who has lost an Aby, or if you know of a catless home in need of a handsome red/sorrel boy, please contact Sharon Dyer.

  1. How can someone just abandon an Aby like that? I mean, look at him – he must have cost someone quite a bit at some point. He is handsome! I’ll never understand humans.

    • I know, right? He’s gorgeous…he really does remind me of Angel quite a bit.

I really want to believe that he got away and got lost, and someone is out there desperately seeking him…

  2. Oh, he looks (and sounds) just like my boy Morse!! I can’t believe someone could have just abandoned a beautiful healthy Aby like him. I hope he finds a good, loving home soon ….
