As I mentioned in my earlier post today, the biggest difference between Gun-Hee and his half-brother Jacoby is that Jake sleeps…
Actually, he doesn’t sleep so much as he completely crashes out! His legs are stretched out behind him and he barely opened his eyes when I took this with my iPhone.
Today is Gun-Hee’s birthday. Had he lived, he would have been four years old.
I think about him every day. Of course, his half-brother Jacoby is a great reminder, too. We always say that Gun-Hee knew he was destined to have a short life, and tried to cram as much into that life as he possibly could. One of the ways he did this was, he literally never seemed to sleep. Not the way most cats do, anyway. He seemed to be always busy, always doing something.
In contrast, that’s something we noticed right off with Jake. Jake sleeps. He’s more relaxed, more chill. He’s still into everything, the way Gun-Hee was, but he doesn’t seem to have the same urgency.
Happy birthday, little Gun-Hee.
Remember the Aby LOLcat I posted the other day?
It turns out her name is Sophia, and she’s a year old now. Natalie says that she’s still quite small, though.
I don’t think I’ve ever known the backstory behind an LOLcat before…well, apart from Peter Hasselbom’s photos, but that’s different. It’s pretty cool.
