It’s become our routine to visit NewBridge in Dedham on Sundays. It’s quiet, and residents’ families tend to visit then, so the people who are still in their rooms or the common areas are people who perhaps need a visit from Jacoby a little bit more.
Jake spent a good long time on this woman’s lap while she petted him and told him about the cats she used to have.
He’s a very good listener.
And when he’s had enough of being held, he’s quite good about gently extricating himself from the person’s lap and sitting somewhere close, but on his own. This time, he moved over to the bookshelf next to her, where she could still reach and pet him.
