Thanks to Catsparella and then Google, I have a nifty collection of cat-shaped silicone baking pans.
They’re awesome for little mini-muffins, and one of my favourite mixes is Krusteaz Cranberry Orange (trust me, this is relevant).
Making muffins in silicone pans is a little different than using stiff metal pans, but once they’re baked, you still have to let the muffins cool before you can take them out.
And here’s something you may not have known…
…cats like mini-muffins.
Well, let me rephrase that: Jacoby likes mini-muffins.
I know what you’re thinking: Cats hate oranges.
I guess that’s just normal, ordinary cats who hate oranges. Evidently, Jake doesn’t have a problem with them – and there is real orange peel zest in the muffin mix!
In case you were wondering, oh, yes, he did really eat some of the muffins. He would have eaten a lot more, too, if I hadn’t stopped him.
I wish my human would do a photo session of me eating something I am not supposed to!

🙂 Toki loves muffins too! He loves all baked goods actually. You should bring home some pound cake- Toki goes crazy for pound cake. I remember one time I came home from work and forgot that I had a scone (wrapped in plastic wrap) in my bag, which I put on the floor. I don’t remember what I was doing, but I saw Toki sticking his head into my bag and I thought “what the heck is he doing in there?” Suddenly he backs out of the bag with the big scone is his mouth and he took off running with his “prize”. I had to chase him down. Another time he finished off a pan of brownie crumbs. This freaked me out, because I know chocolate is bad for dogs, but I didn’t know if it’s bad for cats. He was fine though.
