Our weekend at the show in Boxboro started early on Saturday.
Very early. I had to catch a Framingham train at 7am to meet Meg.
Mind you, I don’t get up for work until 7:30.
I’m pretty sure Jacoby doesn’t wake up that early, either.
But he loves to look out the window on the train.
But after a while he settled down and just sat on the seat with me.
There were only two Abys entered in the show. One was Jake, of course, and the other was little Instincts Columbia, a 4 month old ruddy kitten. She and Jake are cousins of some sort, since his mother Catalina comes from Instincts. I met Columbia’s mother Cupcake at this same show last year.
She was adorable! And she did really well…she was Best Kitten in two rings, and she finaled in 9 out of the 10 rings. Not bad for her first time!
Here she is getting one of her rosettes from judge Chuck Gradowski.
This is Chuck Gradowski with that Maine Coon boy I posted about last night.
His name is Mayn Dezn Matrix.
I still can’t get over how enormous he is.
As a comparison, take a look at this little black smoke Cornish Rex boy, Beaconwood Just My Style of Fenway. Guess how old he is? He’s 7 months old, just four days younger than Matrix! Cat breeds may not have the diversity in size and shape that dogs do, but they’re still pretty diverse.
