I took so many photos at the cat show last weekend, I needed to break them up into two posts. This is continued from last Thursday’s post.
As I said in my post on Thursday, Abys are generally called up early to rings – especially if they start with shorthairs!
We barely had time to get downstairs and get settled before Jacoby was called up to Chuck Gradowski’s ring.
I don’t think Jake was fully awake
He is such a poser, isn’t he?
Then it was Columbia’s turn in Chuck’s ring.
Jake met Kenny Currle at the show in Stamford last March.
Jake still doesn’t look like he’s completely awake, does he?
Kenny is originally a Persian breeder. He was really taken with this shaded kitten.
So taken, in fact, that he brought the kitten out to give the spectators a closer look.
I think the kitten was kind of taken with Ken, too.
In Kenny’s finals, it was down to the cute little black smoke Rex…
…and little Gumby in Ken’s final…and Gumby was his Best Kitten!
Meg was so proud of her!
You see again why Meg calls her “Gumby”…how many kittens have you met that just hang like that?
Meanwhile, in the next ring over, Kathy Calhoun was having her Premiership finals, and Jake was included.
He was Kathy’s 4th Best Cat in Premiership. And then Ken named him 7th Best Cat in Premiership. In typical Jacoby fashion, he made the first two finals of the show…and the last two!
Then it was time to pack up and go home. Gumby sat quietly in her carrier, but Jake had to supervise.
He made sure nobody took off with the bag for his show cage. And now, we have a month off; our next cat show will be in Sturbridge (where we had the blizzard show) in October.
