Jacoby, of course, is no stranger to the streets of Boston.
When we go to visit patients at Tufts and Fuller, we not only walk on the streets…
…We also walk under them!
Both of our hospitals are in very urban, downtown locations, with lots of trucks and sirens and city noise. But there are wonderful little oases of unexpected calm just around the next corner.
This little blossom-strewn street is called Union Park, and it’s between Albany and Harrison, two fairly major and busy Boston streets.
It’s a quiet row of brownstones lined with upper and lower apartments along both sides and there’s a little park on its corner.
It’s in the shadow of Highway 93, and given its location, it’s completely unexpected.
It’s also really lovely.
I love Boston exactly for things like this.
