    1. The difference between taking a cat in to the vet to be put to sleep, and having one die peacefully, in her favourite place, with all the other cats being able to see her and say goodbye and understand she was gone was…amazing. I know we can’t always have this option, but it is really the best way to lose a cat

  1. That is such a sad photograph, I cry everytime I see it. It brings back all the memories of having lost Lily just 3 years ago, and Midnight back in 2000, I can’t believe it’s been 18 years since I lost Midnight, my 18-year-old baby. Those wounds are still raw.

    1. Yeah. I have Harri and Gun-Hee…and Patrick, long distance…I’ve been thinking about them a lot. Especially Patrick, after Harri died. I went to the vet with Harri and came home alone. He didn’t get to see what happened to his best friend. I think the other cats are much better off knowing why Pyret is gone.

  2. She liked to sleep in that basket in the summer. To have her on lit de parade was soothing in a way. I went out on the balcony every day and stroked her fur. It was a way of saying goodbye. Today, Koshka took her to the vet clinic, which will administer the cremation. We’ll have her ashes back, and put the urn together with those of Harri, Patrick, Gun-Hee, and Olivia. It will be a meowsoleum. I hope there’ll be no additions in many years.
