We brought Dashiell home in mid-August, and we took him outside as much as we could before the weather turned too cold and the afternoons got too dark.
At first, of course, we started him out on a leash.
He soon learned to go outside without one.
But it was so cute to see him interact with Angel outside.
For several weeks after Dash joined our family, Angel looked at him like she’d seen a ghost.
With good reason.
Look at Angel with Jacoby, when he was the same age as Dash in these photos. No wonder she thought she was seeing a ghost!
Wonderful photos. So sweet ❤️😺

How is Angel doing – does she like her new siblings? And is Dash related to Jake? He is a handsome boy.

Angel is doing really well. Moving from the old household and eventually becoming the matriarch has made her more confident. It is really heartening to see that even at 12 years of age, she is capable of change. All our cats get along perfectly – after a couple days of hissing, new arrivals have integrated just fine. We like to watch “My Cat From Hell”, and after each episode we marvel at how totally free of problems our little flock is.

That is so good to hear – I’ve always hoped that Angel would carve out a happy place for herself.

And yes, Dash is a distant relative of Jake. Koshka knows the details.
