This week’s Photo Hunt subject is “Zip.”
Jacoby can open zippers from the inside.
It’s kind of a problem, actually.
If I don’t latch the zippers on his house with a clip, and he finishes his dinner and decides he wants out to check out everyone else’s bowls, he just pushes his way out.
And…
…he’s out! He does this every time we feed him now. It’s getting kind of old…
Wow, Jake! What CAN’T you do?

That’s impressive, Jake!

Cool sequence of pictures! You should send those (or a link to the blog) to Sturdi Shelters and suggest they include a clip or whatever to keep the zipper closed.

They actually HAVE a clip…but Jake has been known to force it open, too, with that bullet head of his…He forces the zipper open and the clip opens up right along with it.
I’ve got little combo locks for the zippers, now…

My Aby does this too 😛 Even when the clip is on, he still manages to open the zipper as far as it will go. He actually destroyed the first soft sided carrier – when he couldn’t force the zipper open anymore he proceeded to claw at the zipper seam from the inside and made a hole large enough to stick his head through :-O I now put him in the plastic carrier and my DMH in the (new) soft sided carrier whenever I take them to the vet.

Whew – I thought I was the only one! Wren does this with the zipper for the overhead window into her Sturdi Carrier. I thought I was imagining it the first couple times…. We don’t use it much as a carrier anymore. But Wren likes to sleep in there..

We had a kitty straightjacket for Angel… She ripped the zipper out of that.
